Break every wave
Block Breaker is a free browser arcade game inspired by the classic paddle-and-ball format. Move the paddle beneath the ball and bounce it into the blocks above. Each cleared wave advances you to a new level, with tougher patterns and more durable bricks. The game includes up to 150 levels, so a successful run rewards steady control as much as quick reactions.
Use the arrow keys or A and D on a computer. On a touchscreen, drag or tap across the playfield to move. Press Space or the up arrow to launch a ball, and use the pause button whenever you need a break. The game fits desktop, tablet, and mobile screens.
Stay alive and use power-ups
Every run begins with three lives, giving you room to recover after a missed shot. Falling capsules can change the pace: widen your paddle, split the ball into multiple balls, activate paddle lasers, slow the action, or raise a safety shield. Catching an extra-life capsule can give you another chance. Some levels also hide explosive TNT bricks that clear nearby blocks when hit.
Power-ups are most useful when you choose them deliberately. A wider paddle is a safe catch when the ball is moving quickly; multi-ball can clear a crowded wave, while lasers help chip away at harder bricks. Keep watching the ball before chasing a capsule so you do not trade a save for a bonus.
Build a bigger score
Each brick adds points, and consecutive hits build a combo multiplier. Keep the ball moving through the formation to raise your combo, then finish a wave for a level-clear bonus. A longer run can earn a higher score, but a controlled angle is often more valuable than sending the ball into a risky corner. Aim to open a gap in the bricks and let the ball travel behind the formation.
Your best score is saved in this browser. When a run ends, enter a nickname to submit the result to the online leaderboard. Compare the daily, weekly, monthly, and all-time boards, then try another run to improve your personal record.
Tips for a longer run
Watch the ball’s path instead of following the paddle alone. Near the edges, move early and give yourself room to make a correction. Aim for a controlled bounce by striking different parts of the paddle, and avoid oversteering when the ball is close. When several balls are active, focus on the one most likely to fall. Use the shield and slow-motion effects as recovery tools, and take advantage of the pause control to reset your focus between waves.
